Tire Cages

Summit Equipment offers tire cages for tire service trucks.

Truck tire service, especially the inflation process, can be dangerous if not performed exactly to the wheel or tire manufacturers' procedures. Even when done properly, it can be very dangerous. Due to the number of accidents associated with tire inflation, it is now mandated by OSHA that all truck tires be inflated in an acceptable restraining device such as a tire inflation cage. These tire restraining devices are available in 6 different sizes from Summit Equipment.
Tire inflation cages are mandatory for any shop working with tubeless tires and multi-piece rims. These tire cages are made from heavy-gauge steel tubing welded to a steel base. Tire cages help to protect your employees and guard against blown lock rings and rims. Follow OSHA regulation 29-CFR Part 1910.177. Read safety label on cage.
